Verbraucherpreisinflation in Sachsen höher als in Deutschland: Dekomposition und ökonomische Erklärungsansätze

Abstract

Die Inflationsrate in Sachsen liegt seit 2023 über der gesamtdeutschen Rate. 2023 betrug die Inflation in Sachsen 6,5% (Deutschland: 5,9%), 2024 lag sie bei 2,9% (Deutschland: 2,2%). Der Haupttreiber dieser Differenz ist der Verwendungszweck „Wohnung, Wasser, Energie“, und hier insbesondere die Preise für Strom, Gas und Fernwärme. Diese Preisunterschiede sind ökonomisch nur schwer erklärbar, da Strom- und Gaspreise stark von internationalen und bundesweiten Faktoren abhängen.
