Rente mit 67: Auswirkungen auf die Höhe des Rentenanspruchs

Abstract

Nachdem 96 Jahre lang die Regelaltersgrenze in der gesetzlichen Rentenversicherung unverändert bei 65 Jahren lag, wird diese in den kommenden Jahren schrittweise auf 67 Jahre angehoben. In der öffentlichen Diskussion wird der Rente mit 67 immer wieder eine rentensenkende Wirkung attestiert. Diese Wahrnehmung wird hauptsächlich durch zwei Effekte getrieben. Erstens müssen bei zeitlich unverändertem Renteneintritt höhere Abschläge in Kauf genommen werden. Zweitens verkürzt sich bei regulärem Renteneintritt mit 67 Jahren die Zeit des Rentenbezugs. Im Rahmen einer Szenarioanalyse wird gezeigt, dass die Rente mit 67 nicht grundsätzlich mit einer Rentensenkung gleichzusetzen ist.
