Ostdeutscher Fachkräftemangel bis 2030

Abstract

Aufgrund des demographischen Wandels kommt es zukünftig zu einer Verknappung des Arbeitsangebots, wodurch das Angebot insbesondere gut ausgebildeter Fachkräfte zurückgeht. Deutlich wird dies bereits in der zunehmenden Alterung in technischen Berufen in Ostdeutschland. In Deutschland bedarf es einer besseren Qualifizierung von jungen Menschen sowie einer lebenslangen Weiterbildung. Daneben sollten aber auch Maßnahmen gefunden werden, um ältere Arbeitnehmer länger im Betrieb zu halten. Der Anteil der Frauen in technischen Berufen sollte gesteigert werden. Gerade durch die Arbeitnehmerfreizügigkeit 2011 besteht zusätzlich die Chance, das Arbeitsangebot durch gut qualifizierte Migranten zu erhöhen. Positiv wirken hier die geographische Nähe Ostdeutschlands zu Osteuropa, allerdings negativ das Fehlen von Migrantennetzwerken und rechtsradikale Tendenzen in Teilen Ostdeutschlands.
