Überlegungen zur geplanten Verwaltungsstrukturreform im Freistaat Sachsen

Abstract

Der Freistaat Sachsen plant derzeit eine umfassende Reform der Verwaltungsstrukturen, um im Laufe der Jahre entstandene Ineffizienzen abzubauen und damit finanzielle Einsparmöglichkeiten zu realisieren. Die jetzt geplante Verwaltungsstrukturreform in Sachsen besteht in ihrem Kern aus zwei Teilen. Zum einen geht es um eine Neuordnung der Zuständigkeiten zwischen der staatlichen und der kommunalen Ebene und zum anderen um eine Verringerung der Zahl der Landkreise im Freistaat. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden wesentliche Aspekte der geplanten Reformen einer Bewertung aus ökonomischer Sicht unterzogen.
