Messung der Ertragslage im verarbeitenden Gewerbe Ostdeutschlands

Abstract

Zur Ertragskraft des umstrukturierten verarbeitenden Gewerbes der neuen Länder liegen kaum aktuelle Informationen vor. Das ifo Institut hat deshalb begonnen, zweimal pro Jahr die Umsatzrendite der ostdeutschen Industriefirmen zu erheben. Die seit längerem erfragten Urteile zur Ertragslage geben verläßliche Hinweise zur Entwicklung der Ertragskraft. In Ostdeutschland werden niedrige Umsatzrenditen positiver bewertet als in den alten Bundesländern. Mit 1,4 % im Durchschnitt aller Industrieunternehmen lag die Umsatzrendite 2001 immer noch deutlich unter den Renditewerten der westdeutschen Industrie (1,9 %).
