Abstract

Several companies are beginning to adopt many technologies to make their work easier with integrated ERP systems - Enterprise Resource Planning. Artificial intelligence (AI) and Robotic process automation (RPA) are beginning to appear more frequently in the stages necessary to automate economic processes. These technologies are either integrated in existing platforms, integrated with ERP systems, or are adapted to them through various communication methods. We are working more and more with large series of data, which means a deeper and deeper attention, these technologies come to help in the automatic processing, based on some algorithms, and the display of complex reports, meant to help the staff from the department / departments that decided to digitize some economic processes. In this article the author will deal with modeling the economic process that deals with receiving orders from customers and launching them into production, how to do this, the model used, AI intervention, where appropriate, and the adoption of RPA solution wave. This process, over time, has accumulated a number of mistakes, which has led the management of the studied company to take urgent action to adopt technologies to eliminate the mistakes made frequently. The purpose of modeling this economic process is to automate, as much as possible, a series of steps that are executed manually, from Calculating received orders (CRO) to the Production Plan (ProdP) - that will be sent to the production department to be executed. The author will present the encountered initially situation and the automation proposal, using the tools discussed above - AI and PRP. There will be also some proposals in order to improve the discussed process.
