Abstract

The tourism in general and rural tourism with it were influenced by social, economic and legislative factors, sometimes for development sometimes for regression. In this paper we will analyze the evolution of the main indicators by which we can characterize the evolution and rural tourism activity in the region Crişana, namely: number of accommodation units in rural areas, number of places, number of arrivals in accommodation, number of overnight stays and length of stay. Data for the analysis were obtained from the County of Statistics Arad, Bihor, Salaj and Hunedoara of Tempo databases online, where the above mentioned indicators are presented for the period 1990-2010 for each locality, by type of accommodation. The work is part of a package of two papers, and in this paper we will refer only to the evolution of number of arrivals in accommodation, number of overnight stays and length of stay.
