Il World Class Manufacturing alla FIAT e i dualismi sociali e organizzativi della produzione snella

Abstract

L'articolo esamina le varie tappe del processo di applicazione del modello organizzativo della "lean production" alla FIAT Auto dall'inizio degli anni Novanta alla prima decade degli anni Duemila. Discute le caratteristiche del World Class Manufacturing (WCM), progetto promosso dal ceo Sergio Marchionne nel 2005, e ne interpreta l'assetto come una variante del modello della "lean production". Sostiene la tesi che le tensioni e i problemi del WCM non possano essere interpretati come conseguenza della sua non compiuta o distorta applicazione, ma che derivino dai dualismi socio-organizzativi intrinseci a tale modello produttivo.
