Work Quality in Italian Firms: Organisational Models and Performance in the Covid-19 Aftermath. Evidence from the Fifth INAPP Survey on Job Quality

Abstract

Questo lavoro, utilizzando i dati della V Indagine INAPP sulla qualità del lavoro in Italia, nella sua componente relativa alle unità locali, mira a identificare modelli organizzativi in ottica di qualità del lavoro e a mettere in relazione tali modelli con le prestazioni delle imprese a valle della prima fase pandemica. In modo complementare all’analisi tradizionale della qualità del lavoro focalizzata sui lavoratori, il paper identifica, attraverso una cluster analysis, modelli organizzativi a partire dalle determinanti di impresa in termini di job security, job involvement e propensione allo smart working. Tali cluster, attraverso modelli di regressione logistica, sono quindi messi in relazione con aspetti di performance delle imprese. I risultati, seppur basati su indicatori di performance soggettivi, indicano che le unità locali caratterizzate da modelli organizzativi orientati all’investimento e all’inclusione delle risorse umane hanno avuto una miglior tenuta durante la fase pandemica, e presentano performance di impresa nettamente superiori ai competitor in termini di produttività e capacità finanziaria.
