Abstract

The author have noticed these last years a rise of the diplomas? level concerned by apprenticeship. Her approach consists in considering if apprentices, who graduated from high school but also from higher education, have a better occupational situation, that is to say an access to an employment and a higher wage, than those who are crossed by the standard school way. She uses a micro-econometric evaluation from the survey ?Generation 2001? of the CEREQ. The results of the estimations show that after having corrected the not random character of apprenticeship, the impact of apprenticeship on the employment becomes not significant for graduates in higher education. Without correction, the effect was positive. For the high school graduates, the effect on employment stays positive. The effect of apprenticeship on wages is positive for both.
