Abstract

In this interview, Cédric Denis-Rémis, a teacher-researcher at PSL University, and Jean-Baptiste Colas, who co-directs the laboratory of the Ministry of Defence?s Defence Innovation Agency (AID), present the Red Team project. The principle of this project, piloted by PSL University, is for the army to call on science fiction writers to imagine possible threats, so that it can think about ways of countering them. This approach illustrates the potential of fiction as an organisational strategy and complements the articles in this dossier. The interview gives details of the organisational functioning of this exemplary project, which is a source of inspiration for companies wishing to apply a similar approach.
