Des territoires géographiques à l’écosystème stratégique. Dynamiques de structuration du secteur du jeu vidéo en France

Abstract

This article analyzes the restructuring dynamics of the video game industry in France following a period of crisis. We describe how the formation of local cooperative dynamics and different types of organized proximity within several geographical territories helped the actors of the sector to cope with this crisis. We also put into perspective the role of an inter-territorial cooperative dynamic and a collective meta-governance that intervened to regulate the relations between the different territories and their local dynamics. Based on these insights, we discuss, the main differences between the concepts of cluster and ecosystem.
