Metropolisation, concentration et ségrégation dans les villes européennes et américaines : une comparaison Costa-Rica, France et Mexique

Abstract

The underlying hypothesis of our research is that of a permanence of the metropolization and segregation trends in populations and activities, especially through the emergence of peripheral polarities situated along main transport axes. The different works carried out in Costa-Rica, France and Mexico in fact led us to emphasize the extent of segregation in the evolutions underway. To characterize the metropolization, it now seems necessary to consider a triple phenomenon of concentration, urban spread and segregation. Classification JEL : R11, R14, R30, R52
