Les jeunes adultes migrants de retour : une vitalité pour les régions

Abstract

Dynamism, creativity, involvement are features that are regularly praised by organizations committed to development. Young migrants seem to display many such qualities especially those who return to their home regions. These qualities were shown to be characteristic of return migrants as compared to young people that have always stayed in the same region as evidenced in a research conducted in Québec where areas like project making, involvement in the community, and interest into local life were explored. Return migrants were found to be proactive and thus may be considered as playing a great part in the development of their communities and their regions. Classification JEL : R23, O15, O18, J24.
