Chiliile româneşti de la Muntele Athos în secolele XIX–XXI.. Documente de arhivă

Abstract

Studiul aduce în discuţie un aspect mai puţin cercetat în istoriografia românească şi străină în ultimii 20 de ani, şi anume, chiliile şi colibele româneşti înfiinţate la Muntele Athos în secolul al XIX-lea alături de schiturile întemeiate acolo, de asemenea, de călugării români. Prezentul material prezintă aspecte din viaţa religioasă, administrativă precum şi traiul zilnic al acestora, pe Muntele Athos din Grecia, precum şi relaţiile dintre comunităţile de călugări români de acolo şi calugării greci de la Muntele Athos de-a lungul timpului, de la înfiinţare - secolul al XIX-lea şi până în prezent. Informaţiile se bazează pe cercetări şi pe documente aflate în depozitele de la Arhivele Naţionale ale României şi în acelea ale Arhivelor Diplomatice ale Ministerului Afacerilor Externe
