Abstract

Mass-media influenţează priorităţile culturale, gusturile, reprezentările sociale şi chiar nevoile de consum cultural. Poziţia bibliotecii în comunitate, interesul publicului şi utilizarea serviciilor ei sunt puternic marcate de efectele consumului şi modelelor generate de mass-media. Articolul prezintă rezultatele unei anchete desfăşurate pe bază de chestionare la nivelul a 289 de subiecţi cu vârste între 8 şi 80 de ani din Bucureşti şi alte oraşe din România. Ancheta a fost orientată spre două direcţii. Prima a vizat tipologiile şi nevoile de consum media ale publicului, pe categorii de vârstă, iar a doua a vizat publicul şi biblioteca
