Perspective diferite asupra aceluiaşi mediu - Un studiu al supravegherii mediului la Biblioteca Publică din Stockholm şi la librăria Akademibokhandeln

Abstract

Acest articol se bazează pe o disertaţie de master care investighează modul cum un lanţ de librării şi o bibliotecă publică satisfac nevoile clienţilor lor prin supravegherea mediului. Materialul empiric provine din interviuri semi-structurate, iar cadrul teoretic se bazează pe diferite modele utilizate în procesul de supreveghere a mediului. Rezultatele indică faptul că biblioteca percepe mediul ca fiind societatea ca întreg şi pe toţi membrii acesteia ca pe utilizatorii săi, în timp ce librăria se concentrează pe sectoarele care influenţează vînzarea. Consecinţele acestui fapt sunt că biblioteca este mai activă în mediu şi foloseşte cercetări ca sursă principală de informaţii în vreme ce librăria este mai pasivă şi se bazează pe statistici.
