Výhody a nevýhody prijatia eura v SR

Abstract

Neoddeliteľnou súčasťou rozhodnutia o vstupe do EÚ je aj záväzok, že Slovenská republika bude realizovať hospodársku politiku, ktorá umožní, aby sa stala tiež členom Európskej menovej únie. Hodnotenie pozitívnych a negatívnych dopadov a rizík nášho budúceho členstva v EMÚ, o ktoré sa snažím v tomto príspevku, je teda problémom nanajvýš aktuálnym. Celkovo možno konštatovať, že prevládajú pozitívne aspekty vstupu pred negatívnymi. Ukazuje sa, že najčastejšie uvádzané nevýhody vstupu do menovej únie možno buď spochybniť (neexistencia samostatnej menovej politiky, rozpor medzi reálnym rastom a nominálnou stabilizáciou), alebo zabrániť ich negatívnemu pôsobeniu uskutočnením vhodných ekonomických reforiem (napr. v prípade obáv z dôsledkov pôsobenia asymetrických šokov).
