Vybrané aspekty regionálnej integrácie Európskej únie a ASEAN

Abstract

Regióny Európska únia (EÚ) a ASEAN zohrávajú významnú úlohu v medzinárodných vzťahoch a svetovom obchode. Obe zoskupenia vznikali v odlišnom geografickom, historickom a socio-ekonomickom kontexte. Porovnanie regionálnych integračných procesov ASEAN s integráciou EÚ je možné, no vzhľadom na fakt, že každé z uvedených zoskupení v súčasnosti napĺňa inú formu regionálnej integrácie existuje viac rozdielov ako prienikov. Z hľadiska teórií regionálnej integrácie možno definovať politické a ekonomické aspekty integrácie uvedených celkov, typológiu ich členských krajín a ďalšie charakteristiky integračných procesov. Napriek tomu, že sú skúmané regionálne integračné zoskupenia odlišné, čelia podobným globálnym výzvam, tak na politicko-bezpečnostnej ako ekonomickej úrovni.
