Procesy integrácie v Latinskej Amerike po skončení studenej vojny

Abstract

V deväťdesiatych rokoch 20. storočia sa začal v regióne Latinskej Ameriky rozvíjať „nový regionalizmus“, ktorý so sebou priniesol rozšírenie oblastí integrácie z prevažne čisto ekonomických aj na politické, bezpečnostné, sociálne, kultúrne a iné. Ovplyvnil tak existujúce ako aj novovznikajúce integračné zoskupenia. Na druhej strane, na začiatku 21. storočia vyznievajú procesy integrácie v tomto regióne veľmi protirečivo. V Latinskej Amerike existuje veľké množstvo integračných zoskupení, ktorých ciele sa do značnej miery prekrývajú, pričom väčšina z nich sa nachádza v kríze. Zároveň sa predkladajú návrhy nových projektov, ktoré sa snažia integráciu ešte viac prehĺbiť. Ich úspech je otázny vzhľadom na to, že sa nedarí vyriešiť existujúce problémy a že ide o veľmi heterogénne krajiny.
