Členstvo Slovenskej republiky vo WTO a vplyv vstupu Slovenskej republiky do Európskej únie na jej členstvo vo WTO

Abstract

Svetová obchodná organizácia - World Trade Organization (WTO), je vedúcou medzinárodnou organizáciou v oblasti regulácie medzinárodného obchodu a právnou nástupkyňou GATT, ktorá platila od roku 1947. WTO je základnou medzinárodnou organizáciou v oblasti regulácie medzinárodného obchodu s tovarom, službami a výsledkami duševného vlastníctva. Slovenská republika sa stala zmluvnou stranou GATT 1 januára 1993 na základe Protokolu o prístupe SR k GATT. SR sa stala členom WTO dňa 1 januára 1995. Vstupom SR do EÚ sa v SR realizuje spoločná obchodná politika EÚ. Legislatívnym základom spoločnej obchodnej politiky EÚ sú články 131 a 133 Zmluvy o založení Európskeho spoločenstva.
