Abstract

Corruption remains one of the most critical challenges for governance, economic development, and social stability in many countries, including Uzbekistan. This article offers a comprehensive analysis of the theoretical perspectives on the concept of corruption and the legal framework surrounding crimes related to corruption under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. By examining both international and national definitions and classifications of corruption, as well as recent legal reforms, this paper aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of how corruption is treated in Uzbek legal theory and practice. The analysis also highlights key legal provisions, judicial approaches, and challenges in combating corruption, providing a basis for future reforms and enhanced anti-corruption strategies.
