Abenteuertourismus in der Hochschulausbildung in Deutschland: Ist-Analyse und Plädoyer für stärkere Berücksichtigung von Abenteuerangeboten?

Abstract

Dieser Beitrag befasst sich mit dem Tourismuszweig des Abenteuertourismus und seiner Verbreitung in der deutschen Hochschullandschaft. Abenteuertourismus ist international im Trend und auch in Deutschland steigt zunehmend das Interesse für Abenteueraktivitäten und Erlebnisreisen. Die Bedeutung in der deutschsprachigen Tourismusforschungs-Community ist jedoch bislang ebenso gering wie die Anzahl an Studienprogrammen. Dieser Beitrag zeigt den aktuellen Ist-Stand auf und versucht eine stärkere Beachtung und Vernetzung im Abenteuertourismus anzuregen. Dazu wird der Abenteuertourismus definiert, die Verbreitung in Deutschland skizziert und das aktuelle Hochschulausbildungsangebot analysiert. Neben Herausforderungen und Chancen in der Bildung werden auch Handlungsempfehlungen gegeben
