Abstract

In order for sustainable mobility in tourism not only to remain a vision, it needs tailor-made mobility offers that also take into account the „last mile“. Regional strategies for rural tourism regions are highlighted in the Interreg Europe project LAST MILE under Austrian leadership. Innovative is the intensive examination of legal, institutional and economic conditions. The project regions are now taking concrete measures to break down barriers in the realization of low-threshold flexible solutions.
