Factor Analysis as a Technique for Examining Complex Data on Foodstuffs

Abstract

One of the problems arising in the appraisal of foodstuffs concerns the complex relationships that may exist between ‘objective’ tests and subjective judgements. In this article Dr Harper discusses the potentialities and limitations of Factor Analysis in dealing with this problem.
