Abstract

Mục tiêu chính của nghiên cứu là xem xét mối quan hệ giữa khách du lịch và tăng trưởng kinh tế (GDP) ở Thừa Thiên Huế giai đoạn 1997 - 2011. Trên cơ sở sử dụng lý thuyết đồng liên kết, phương pháp nhân quả Granger và mô hình hiệu chỉnh sai số ECM, bài viết đã chứng minh được có một mối quan hệ tích cực giữa việc gia tăng lượng khách du lịch và tăng trưởng kinh tế cả trong ngắn hạn lẫn dài hạn. Từ đó, tác giả đưa ra một số kiến nghị gia tăng lượng khách đến tham quan du lịch tại Thừa Thiên Huế nhằm thúc đẩy kinh tế tăng trưởng trong thời gian tới
