Abstract

Bài nghiên cứu được thực hiện đánh giá tác động của mối quan tâm nghề nghiệp của nhà quản lý ảnh hưởng như thế nào đến hiệu quả đầu tư của doanh nghiệp. Dữ liệu nghiên cứu gồm 78 công ty được niêm yết trên hai sàn chứng khoán là HNX và HOSE trong đó có 13 doanh nghiệp nhà nước và 65 doanh nghiệp tư nhân trong giai đoạn 2010-2017. Sử dụng phương pháp hồi quy FGLS, nghiên cứu tìm thấy rằng những CEO lớn tuổi thì đầu tư sẽ có hiệu quả hơn và ít chấp nhận rủi ro hơn. Ngoài ra, những CEO mới được bổ nhiệm đa số thường đầu tư dưới mức tối ưu, họ quan tâm đến danh tiếng bản thân hơn là mục tiêu của doanh nghiệp.
