Abstract

Mục tiêu của bài viết này là nghiên cứu ảnh hưởng của các yếu tố khoảng cách đến lượt khách quốc tế tại các nước ASEAN. Dựa vào nghiên cứu của Dow và Karanuratna (2006) nghiên cứu giả thuyết rằng khoảng cách văn hóa, khoảng cách thể chế và khác biệt địa lý có mối quan hệ nghịch chiều với lượt du khách. Dữ liệu thu thập từ Tổng cục Du lịch của năm quốc gia ASEAN bao gồm Việt Nam, Singapore, Thái Lan, Philipines và Malaysia để kiểm định các giả thuyết. Kết quả hồi quy OLS cho thấy rằng, khoảng cách thể chế và khoảng cách địa lý ảnh hưởng nghịch chiều đến lượt khách quốc tế trong khi khoảng cách văn hóa có quan hệ thuận chiều.
