Abstract

The article examines the changes that are characteristic of the labor market, which are caused by the spread of digitalization and the consequences of the deployment of a full-scale war on the territory of Ukraine. It was found that the latter led to increased tensions and destructive fluctuations in the labor market, which are associated with the termination or limitation of the activities of enterprises, migration processes and mobilization policy, and which are manifested in the increase in the share of hidden and structural unemployment. In turn, digitization, as an integral attribute of modern economic development, causes significant transformational processes in the labor market, manifested, first, in the spread of new types of employment, which include remote work and freelance work, the spread of which has a number of advantages, including highlighted: a significant reduction in transaction costs, a convenient work schedule, increased labor productivity and motivation, effective time allocation between work duties, leisure and household chores, etc.; secondly, the modernization of the system of labor relations, which involves building relations between the manager and the employee based on trust, common interests, openness, courtesy, and personal affection; thirdly, putting forward new requirements for potential employees, which involve an optimal combination of business, technical, interpersonal and creative competencies; fourth, increasing demand for new professions, which include artificial intelligence specialist, data analyst, information security specialist, digital marketer and e-commerce specialist, personal development coach. In the new conditions, a person's success on the labor market depends on the formed digital competencies, to which we included such components as information skills, the ability to communicate, security, the ability to solve problem situations, and the ability to create modern content environments. Therefore, an important step in ensuring balance in the modern labor market is the adaptation and development of the workforce in accordance with new digital requirements.
