Biometrics Application: A Critical Review

Abstract

Purpose: This study was carried out to review the rate of biometrics adoption in various arms within Nigeria. Some of the sectional offices of governmental and private organizations were visited during this work. Methodology: The methods used involves interview of personnel's in the parastatals, review of literature works and observations. Findings: The findings show that there has been technological advancement in Nigeria with biometrics introduction in some sectors. The work contributed to existing literature on biometrics by conducting a review to determine the rate at which biometric technology have been adopted in Nigeria. Unique contributions to theory, policy and practice: This will help government in making positive decisions leading to the growth and technological advancement of the country.
