Le patrimoine économique national en 2023 – Une baisse due au repli des prix du foncier

Abstract

Fin 2023, le patrimoine économique national s’est élevé à 18 674 milliards d’euros, en repli après huit années de croissance (– 4,2 %, après + 5,7 % en 2022 et + 4,8 % en moyenne entre 2014 et 2022). Ce recul s’explique par la baisse des prix immobiliers tandis qu’en parallèle les actifs et passifs financiers ont rebondi. Les ménages détiennent les trois quarts du patrimoine national. Leur patrimoine net a baissé seulement légèrement en 2023 (– 0,9 %). Pour les ménages qui sont détenteurs nets d’actifs financiers, la baisse de l’immobilier a été en partie compensée par le rebond de leur patrimoine financier.
