Descentralização Fiscal E Crescimento Econômico Dos Estados Brasileiros

Abstract

O presente estudo tem por objetivo geral analisar a relação entre o nível de descentralização fiscal e o crescimento econômico das macrorregiões no Brasil. A partir da estimação de um modelo econométrico em dados de painel estático com efeitos fixos abrangendo o período de 1995 a 2016, os resultados obtidos indicam que a descentralização fiscal impacta positivamente o crescimento econômico das macrorregiões brasileiras, mas por diferentes canais de transmissão. Especificamente, nas macrorregiões Sul e Sudeste, a autonomia de arrecadação promove o crescimento econômico, ao passo que nas outras macrorregiões, o aspecto relevante é a descentralização de receitas.
