Abstract

U radu se upotrebom DEA metodologije analizira ugljenična i ekonomska efikasnost Srbije u odnosu na zemlje Evropske unije. Cilj rada je da pruži nove kvantitativne i kvalitativne informacije koje bi trebalo da omoguće da Srbija ostvari ekonomski razvoj bez preteranog ugrožavanja životne sredine, ali da istovremeno ne pogorša svoju konkurentsku poziciju na evropskom tržištu. Evropska unija na osnovu „Zelenog dogovora“ planira da od 2021. godine uvede ugljeničnu taksu kao klasičnu uvoznu taksu, čija će visina zavisiti od emitovane količine ugljen-dioksida u celokupnom procesu proizvodnje i odnosiće se na sve proizvode koji se budu uvozili u EU iz trećih zemalja. Srbija će kao proizvođač i izvoznik u EU imati značajne dodatne troškove, pa postoji opasnost da njena konkurentnost na tržištu EU bude značajno ugrožena. Zbog toga bi rezultati ovog rada takođe mogli da posluže kao vodič za kreiranje javnih politika sa odgovarajućim strategijama za poboljšanje efikasnosti Srbije u kontekstu održivog razvoja.
