El Programa de Evaluación del FMI para el sistema financiero español: una visión general desde una perspectiva de estabilidad financiera

Abstract

El artículo describe la organización, desarrollo y resultados del Programa de Evaluación del Sistema Financiero (FSAP, por sus siglas en inglés) de 2024 para España a cargo del Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI), con atención a cuestiones relacionadas con el análisis de riesgos sistémicos y la política macroprudencial. En particular, el artículo presenta las últimas recomendaciones formuladas por el FMI para reforzar la resiliencia del sistema financiero español y mejorar nuestro marco normativo e institucional. El artículo se completa con un repaso general de las anteriores ediciones del FSAP para España y, a modo de comparativa, de los aspectos más destacables de varios FSAP recientes que se han llevado a cabo en países de la unión bancaria.
