Válság az eurozónában - politikai gazdaságtani megközelítésben

Abstract

A Gazdasági és Monetáris Unió (GMU) 2008 óta tartó válsága Európa talán legsúlyosabb gazdasági krízise az 1929-es nagy összeomlás óta. A válság jelentősége nem a recesszióban vagy a magas munkanélküliségben jelenik meg igazán. Noha tagadhatatlan, hogy egyes GMU tagállamok szempontjából a hagyományos makrogazdasági adatokat vizsgálva is szomorú képet kapunk, sokkal jelentősebbnek tartjuk, hogy a válság alapjaiban kérdőjelezi meg mindazt a folyamatot, mely az 1957-es római szerződés aláírásakor kezdődött, az 1986-os Egységes Európai Okmány aláírásával folytatódott, majd a maastrichti szerződéssel, illetve később annak módosításaival és az eurónak, mint közös valutának a bevezetésével csúcsosodott ki.
