Balance sobre la situación actual de la trata, explotación sexual y violencia sexual en zonas de minería informal de Madre de Dios y Piura

Abstract

La trata de personas es un fenómeno que cobra un gran número de víctimas a nivel mundial. Por ello, el compromiso de los gobiernos, la sociedad civil y el sector privado es fundamental para replantear no solo el marco jurídico, sino también las condiciones económicas, sociales y humanas de las potenciales víctimas. Se presenta un balance de los más recientes estudios sobre trata, explotación y violencia sexual en el país, con énfasis en las zonas de minería informal de dichas regiones. El estudio se desarrolla en el marco del proyecto “No más mujeres invisibles: contra la trata, explotación sexual y violencia sexual en zonas de minería informal de Madre de Dios y Piura (Perú)", el cual viene siendo implementado por el Centro de Promoción y Defensa de los Derechos Sexuales y Reproductivos (PROMSEX) y el Consorcio de Investigación Económica y Social (CIES). Dichas instituciones implementan el proyecto con el financiamiento del Fondo Fiduciario de las Naciones Unidas para Eliminar la Violencia Contra la Mujer.
