Uso de la tierra, comunidades y áreas protegidas en la Amazonía baja peruana: aplicación de un enfoque multinivel

Abstract

La identificación de los factores que influyen sobre los usos de la tierra en el ámbito de la Amazonía es un tema de primordial importancia para el diseño de políticas efectivas contra la deforestación. En esta investigación se identifican estos mediante la aplicación de un modelo jerárquico o multinivel que considera tanto las variables a nivel del hogar o parcela y de la comunidad en el cual se encuentra establecido. Los resultados indican que la proporción de áreas agrícolas en las parcelas está directamente relacionada con la disponibilidad de tierras y mano de obra en los hogares, e inversamente vinculado a su inclusión dentro en las áreas protegidas del área de estudio. Este estudio se desarrolló como resultado del XVII Concurso Anual de Investigación CIES 2015, con el auspicio del Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) - Canada, el Centro Internacional de Investigaciones para el Desarrollo (IDRC, por sus siglas en inglés) y la Fundación Manuel J.
