Políticas para eliminar las barreras geográficas en salud

Abstract

Este estudio tienen como objetivos principales analizar las políticas implementadas por el sector salud para eliminar las barreras geográficas que limitan el acceso a la atención de salud; y proponer políticas con acciones orientadas a lograr el acceso universal a servicios de calidad para la población. En el desarrollo de la investigación se establece que las barreras geográficas son una forma de exclusión que se expresa en la dificultad que tienen las personas para acceder de manera oportuna y adecuada a los servicios de salud. Estas barreras pueden ser: i) dificultades propias de la localización de su comunidad; ii) carencia de vías de comunicación adecuadas; iii) distribución física de los servicios de salud. Finalmente, es importante mencionar la calidad del servicio, que para el presente estudio se refiere a contar o no contar con los recursos humanos necesarios para resolver oportunamente los problemas de salud. Este documento forma parte del proyecto Observatorio del Derecho a la Salud y del Programa Derechos de Salud de CARE Perú.
