Vigilancia social: teoría y práctica en el Perú

Abstract

Esta publicación recoge un resumen del estudio que ha realizado un equipo del Centro de Estudios y Promoción del Desarrollo (Desco) y Ciudadanos al Día (CAD) sobre el mapeo y las experiencias de vigilancia social en el Perú. Dicho estudio fue una iniciativa del grupo impulsor del Sistema de Vigilancia Social (SIVISO), conformado por Oxfam GB, Propuesta Ciudadana, DFID-Embajada Británica, Proyecto CTT-Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Defensoría del Pueblo y la Mesa de Concertación para la Lucha contra la Pobreza. El propósito central de esta investigación es ofrecer a los no especialistas una primera aproximación al tema. Por ello, el texto incluye una parte conceptual, una evaluación del estado de la vigilancia, un mapeo de la vigilancia social en el Perú y algunas sugerencias para la organización de un sistema de vigilancia social nacional. La presente publicación ha sido posible gracias al apoyo financiero y técnico Oxfam GB y el Department for International Development (DFID). Se publicó en la serie CIES Investigaciones Breves 20, 2003.
