Abstract

The opportunities offered by digital technologies represent a leverage for economic growth. Financial services have always relied on technology and evolved in line with technological innovation, but the supply of financial services will have to adapt more and more rapidly to digitization of consumption and production activities. Fintech should contribute to the development and competitiveness of the European financial system and economy but it is important to create a coherent and supportive regulatory framework and a competitive environment for traditional and new providers
