Abstract

This paper describes the technologies and tools airport operations centre managers, air traffic management service providers or airlines can use to assist in reducing the impact of irregular aircraft operations caused by significant weather events. Because of the variations in events, operations, available infrastructure etc, this paper does not attempt to prioritise the technologies or tools, but discusses the benefits of a shared situational awareness or common operating picture that could be achieved from proper implementation.
