Abstract

Copyright, as a constitutive part of the notion of intellectual property, refers to the protection of the author’s property and identity. Dissemination without the written and express permission of the author or the legal subject holding the copyright, as forms of violation of this right, on the one hand, and the exercise of the right of access of all citizens to information ensured by libraries – here is the space for investigation and argumentation of the researched subject. The integrity of copyright must not be compromised, but access to information must also be ensured by libraries. The solutions and recommendations are in a permanent transformation: legislation, institutional practices, and deontology.
