Abstract

This paper presents an electric high-efficiency seed drying plant, which was proposed by researchers from the Technical University of Moldova. The plant is an experimental one and was developed to carry out research on the identification of methods to increase the efficiency of the process of drying agricultural seeds. The main results obtained on the application of the given plant are: increasing the speed of the dehydration process and reducing the technological processing time; increasing energy efficiency and quality of processed seeds. Apart from these, the plant is simple in terms of construction and has high reliability, being designed to operate in aggressive conditions specific to enterprises in the agro-industrial sector.
