Aspecte ale securităţii cibernetice în cadrul Uniunii Europene

Abstract

Uniunea Europeană își sporește atenţia asupra securităţii cibernetice, echipării și sprijinirii statelor membre pentru a se proteja împotriva ameninţărilor cibernetice, menţinând în același timp un spaţiu cibernetic deschis, liber și sigur. Pentru ca să fie un mediu de încredere al Societăţii Informatizate, Internetul trebuie să devină disponibil, informaţia transmisă sau memorată să fie păstrată confidenţial, trebuie să ne putem asigura cine este autorul unei informaţii şi că aceasta nu a fost alterată. Problemele de securitate reduc încrederea în reţele şi în sistemele informatice şi, odată cu aceasta, reduc nivelul de utilizare a Internetului, cu toate avantajele sale. Principalele valori europene așa ca libertatea, democraţia, demnitatea, egalitatea, solidaritatea, statul de drept sunt aplicabile și realităţii virtuale, iar mecanismele implementate în domeniul cibernetic trebuie să respecte în totalitate aceste principii.
