Soğuk Savaş Dönemi Türkiye-Sovyet Rusya İlişkileri Ve Türk Basını (Stalin’in Ölümüne Kadar)

Abstract

Birinci Dünya Savaşının ardından Kurtuluş Savaşı yıllarında gelişen Türk-Sovyet ilişkileri, 1925 tarihli dostluk ve saldırmazlık anlaşması ile devamlı hale getirildi. II. Dünya Savaşı süresince ve savaş sonrasında yaşanan değişim ve gelişmelere bağlı olarak Sovyet Hükümeti 1925’te imzalanan, (1929, 1931) ve son olarak 1935’te on yıl süre ile uzatılan dostluk anlaşmasını yenilemeyeceğini Türkiye’ye iletti. Ardından da Boğazlar ve Kafkas sınırında değişiklik yapılması yönünde isteklerini Türkiye’ye nota ile bildirdi. Bu tarihten itibaren Türk-Sovyet ilişkileri sürekli gerginleşen bir çizgide devam etti. Bu dönemde Türkiye’nin dış politikasına istikamet veren esas unsur, Sovyetler Birliği’nin Türkiye üzerindeki toprak ve Boğazlardan üs isteklerine dayanan baskılarıdır. Bu nedenle Batı’yla ilişkilerin geliştirilmesi ve NATO üyeliği Türk dış politikasının en önemli öncelikleri arasındaydı. Söz konusu dönemde Türk siyaset adamları, basın ve halk Sovyet tehdidine karşı tek bir vücut halinde hareket etmiştir.
