Türkiye’de Erkekler ve Erkeklikler: Jeff Hearn ile Ulusötesi Yaklaşımlar

Abstract

Ülkemizde Eleştirel Erkekler ve Erkeklikler İncelemeleri alanı toplumsal cinsiyet ve kültürel çalışmaları birleştiren ve gittikçe yaygınlaşan bir konu olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu makalede alanın kurucusu sosyolog ve ekonomist Jeff Hearn’ün kırk yılı aşkın süredir devam eden çalışmalarındaki “ulus ötesi” vurgu, farklı örnekle incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Hızla değişen siyasi, kültürel, ekonomik konjonktürün de etkisiyle bizce bu tarz çok kültürlü çalışmaların önemi giderek artmaktadır. Hearn’ün feminizm içinde erkekleri eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla çalışırken başvurduğu ulusaşırılık, özellikle küresel pek çok değişimin odağında olan Suriyeli mülteciler konusunu Türkiye’de çalışırken başta sağlık ekonomisi ve mikroekonomi olmak üzere, organizasyon, toplumsal değişim ve kültürel etkileşimi anlamak açısından oldukça yararlıdır.
