Abstract

It is known that the personality of each individual has multiple facets in relation to the behavior found in everyday life and to investors on the stock exchange. This paper focuses on the study and analysis of the psychological profiles of brokers from the Romanian capital market as well as the way in which they react in both normal and extreme situations. Investment decision and in particular the decision to invest in securities listed on the stock exchange, in many cases is based on fundamental analysis or technical analysis. This is evidenced by numerous bibliographical sources specific to this field. In practice, however, intervenes a number of subjective factors affecting in a way somehow the unexpected behavior of investment brokers, or their investment decision. I propose therefore an analysis on behavior of investment brokers in the Romanian capital market as regards their inclination toward speculation and how this influences the investment decision. “This work was supported by the project “Excellence academic routes in the doctoral and postdoctoral research – READ” co-funded from the European Social Fund through the Development of Human Resources Operational Programme 2007-2013, contract no.
