Abstract

Teaching in the subject of engineering mechanics dynamics deserves significant attention. Since this subject relies heavily on the combination of mathematics, free body diagrams and the effect of forces, many students are facing difficulty in visualizing the engineering concepts in general. While much research and various approaches have been employed by researches in the past to overcome this dilemma, not much has improved this situation. This paper review problems faced by students in the subject matter, approaches used in enhancing the learning process and suggest how technological software could be used to help students in solving selected engineering problems.
