Transformasi Siswa SMK Menjadi Ahli Kosmetik Alami melalui Pelatihan Pembuatan Serum Ekstrak Daun Teh

Abstract

Background: Pelatihan produksi serum ekstrak daun teh dilatarbelakangi oleh keamanan dan khasiat produk kosmetik alami yang akan mengalami peningkatan permintaan di pasar dan lebih jauh lagi fakta bahwa daum teh (Camellia sinensis) kaya akan polifenol dapat menjadi bahan fungsional yang dapat meningkatkan kesehatan kulit. Hal ini menjadi urgensi dalam rangka meningkatkan kesadaran dan ketrampilan masyarakat terutama gen Z dalam memanfaatkan herbal sebagai material dasar kosmetik. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa SMK Cut Meutia Banda Aceh menjadi ahli dalam kosmetik alami dalam pengembangan produk berbasis bahan herbal. Metode: Dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 24 peserta siswa SKM Cut Meutia Banda Aceh dengan pendekatan interaktif yang mencakup sosialisasi, praktik langsung, dan evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner untuk menilai kepuasan serta pemahaman peserta. Pelatihan berlangsung di Laboratorium Farmasi Akademi Analis Farmasi dan Makanan Banda Aceh pada 6 Maret 2024, dengan dukungan dari 3 narasumber dan 3 instruktur. Hasil: 100% peserta merasa sangat puas dengan materi pelatihan, dan sebagian besar peserta menyatakan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka. Selain itu, pelatihan ini mendorong minat peserta untuk mengembangkan usaha kecil di bidang kosmetik alami, berkontribusi pada pemberdayaan ekonomi lokal melalui UMKM. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini berhasil memperkuat keterampilan praktis siswa serta mendorong inovasi berbasis sumber daya lokal yang berkelanjutan.
