Evaluation of alternatives in long-term care

Author

Listed:
  • Weiler, P.G.

Abstract

The magnitude of the issue in long-term care requires that further research be done on alternatives so that policy makers will have a good scientific base to aid in the decision-making process that must also include political and humanitarian factors. Because of the research limitations, the findings may never be as conclusive as some would like. The rule of using the prudent way versus the proven way would seem to apply here.
